List of events happening at the Library.
2nd Tuesday Book Club Dec 09, 2025 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM — Freeport District Library,
On the second Tuesday of each month at 2pm, the library's book club meets to discuss a book. Members take turns selecting and leading the discussion of the book they have chosen. The selected books are provided by the library for the members to read ahead of the next meeting. If you are interested in joining the discussion, stop in at the library to pick up the next month's book.
December Holiday Closures from Dec 25, 2025 01:00 PM to Dec 27, 2025 11:00 AM — Freeport District Library,
The library will be closed Thurs., Dec. 25th -Sat., Dec. 27th, 2025. We will reopen on Monday, Dec. 29th at 1pm.
New Year's Holiday Closures from Dec 31, 2025 09:00 AM to Jan 01, 2026 08:15 PM — Freeport District Library,
The library will be closed Wed., Dec. 31st and Thurs., Jan. 1st, 2026 for the New Year's holidays. The library will reopen on Fri., Jan. 2nd at 9am.

The library book club meets once a month on Tuesdays at 2pm. Members take turns selecting the book to be discussed each month. If you are interested in attending, pick up the current book to be discussed at the library.
2025/26 Library Board Meetings Jan 22, 2026 from 07:00 PM to 08:00 PM — Freeport District Library,
Library board meetings are open to the public. They are held the 4th Thursday of each month at 7pm, September-May. The only exception is the November and December meetings are combined and will be held Thurs., Dec. 4th at 7pm this year.

Good Friday Holiday Closure from Apr 03, 2026 09:00 AM to Apr 04, 2026 05:00 PM — Freeport District Library,
The library will be closed Friday, April 3rd and 4th, 2026. We will reopen on Monday, April 6th at 1pm.
