Just the facts...

The Freeport District Library is located at 208 S. State St., Freeport, MI  49325.

The Freeport District Library is a Class II public library serving 5,013 residents of Carlton and Irving Townships in Barry County.  The Freeport District Library is a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative.  We participate in interlibrary loan and reciprocal borrowing with other member libraries.  We also participate in interlibrary loan through MEL CAT.

The library holds over 19,360 items including books, Audio Books on Tape, CD and Playaways, DVDs and VHS videos, as well as Overdrive Downloadable Audiobooks through our Online catalog. 

In total, approximately 25,164 items were circulated during the 2009/10 fiscal year!  In addition, about 12,000 people entered our library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access to the Internet through the library's public access computers, view library exhibits, or attend one of the Library's many events or programs.
